ACCIONA Agua in Saudi Arabia

ACCIONA Agua was recently awarded the construction of one of the biggest desalination plants in Saudi Arabia, Shuqaiq 3, the largest-scale project to date in the country. It will be developed under a BOO (Build, Own and Operate) contract with a budget of around 750 million euros.

This project is the company's third in the country after the award of the construction of the Al-Khobar desalination plant in July 2018 and the completion of the construction and start-up of the Al Jubail desalination plant in 2015. Through the three projects, ACCIONA Agua will supply desalinated water to a population equivalent of over 3 million people.
