Innovation applied to the water sector, the search for more sustainable management and the latest technological developments for systems control and automation are some of the themes that ACCIONA Agua will address at the 1st edition of the SIGA trade fair (Innovative Solutions for Water Management) that will take place at IFEMA in Madrid from 28 February to 3 March.
ACCIONA Agua’s stand, located in the entrance to the exhibition area in module 3D17, will provide a meeting place for trade professionals and visitors, hosting an extensive programme of conferences and workshops over the four days of the event.
On 1 March, fifteen representatives from the Young Water Professionals Spain group (YWP Spain) will take part in an open meeting at the stand with ACCIONA Agua manager, José Díaz-Caneja. The YWP initiative, promoted by the International Water Association (IWA) and the Spanish Water Supply and Sewerage Association (AEAS), seeks to promote and develop young professionals in the sector under the age of 35 at an international level.
During the event on 2 March, ACCIONA Agua will also present important new developments in the field of automation and control in the form of strategic alliances with new partners, which will strengthen the company’s position as a certified integrator of industrial automation systems and an expert in water cycle processes.
The latest innovation projects developed by the company within the Life+ programme, the EU’s main instrument for financing projects with an environmental component, will also be on display at the stand. The workshop being held on 3 March will also examine the LIFE-BRAINYMEM®, OptiAnMBR and LIFE Celsius projects, among others, for reducing energy consumption in treatment plants and minimising their environmental impact.
ACCIONA Agua will also take part in the programme of technical conferences at the trade fair by organising various sessions and talks featuring prominent professionals from the sector.
The SIGA trade fair intends to become the leading international event for professionals in the water technology sector. Its first edition will feature an exhibition area and an extensive programme of technical conferences, which will examine the main challenges related to the integral water cycle. The latest technological developments will also be presented, with special emphasis on integrated solutions for urban supply and sewerage services, as well as industrial use.
