ACCIONA to double the capacity of the Adelaide (Australia) desalination plant
Date: 06/25/2009The plant's daily production capacity will rise to 300,000 cubic metres, making it the world's largest desal project.
The signing of the contract by AdelaidAqua coincides with the official visit of the King and Queen of Spain, who were accompanied by ACCIONA Chairman & CEO, José Manuel Entrecanales, and other businessmen.
Mr. Entrecanales' trip to Australia is part of ACCIONA's strategic project of worldwide development and is aimed at enhancing the Company's presence in the country.

ACCIONA Agua wins four new water management contracts in Spain
Date: 06/17/2009ACCIONA Agua will take on the operation and maintenance of Seville’s main water treatment plant, the wastewater services for Calatayud (Zaragoza) and two desalination plants on the island of Grand Canary; and will manage the integrated water cycle for the city of Soria.
The contracts, which come to a total of 21.2 million euros, will enable ACCIONA Agua to deliver water services to a population equivalent of more than 1.5 million inhabitants.

This is the first contract awarded in Spain using the Competitive Dialogue procurement procedure, and is one of the biggest water management contracts awarded by the Balearic Isles regional government.
ACCIONA reports Q1/09 net profit of 149 million euros
